Cutting to the chase, I found the “execute” file hidden in a file labeled “Stuff to try (spare-time)”.

Mine was not a “trial” download ’cause I don’t do “trials” unless somebody I trust (TC) recommends it, so where did it come from? Who recommended that I download it?” Maybe it was bundled with something else? I can’t remember. At first read I said to myself “Hmmm, now where did I hear of Smilebox before? Turns out I downloaded that a long time ago, but never executed it. WHILE A MEMBER, IF THEY OFFER FREE TRIALS OF OTHER THINGS, ONCE THE FREE TRIAL IS OVER YOU ARE AUTOMATICALLY CHARGED, SO BE CAREFUL OF THEIR MANY OFFERS. You first have to get it to stop running, which is a chore in itself since it seems to have a mind of its own. It wouldn’t uninstall, once I was able to find the uninstall option, because it was running. The program popped up constantly from the system tray asking if I wanted to add the most recent pictures uploaded to my computer to my Smilebox. “I tried SmileBox earlier this year and it took forever to get rid of it. Typical review (after Incredimail purchased): Smilebox has a reputation as the “World’s Most Annoying App”. SmileBox is owned by Incredimail and it seems most complaints are for charging when customer did not expect a charge, refusing to refund, difficulty cancelling, nagware/ads/toolbars, and problems uninstalling. I did not reinstall SmileBox, but would like to use it. It was SuperAntiSpyware that alerted me, so I called them and the tech told me SmileBox is bad, but I know several people who use & enjoy it.

It was so cute and I loved the program, but immediately after, my computer crashed with a virus. I downloaded the program about a year ago and made an album. My question is, Is Smilebox safe? I have received some greetings & albums from others and they are so fun. I have learned more from you about computers that from all other sources put together.

Thank you both so much for all that you do.
